for me, mmm, "And if your heart was taken, I'd still be there waiting.." and, "I guess my onLy crime is that I Love too much.."

My favorite lyric has been  "she plays it soft so only I can hear" has alway been one of my favs but I do love "Don't you dare give me that come back stare" and "Lovely tells me she loves me" is another favorite! It is so hard to pick one favorite thing of anything Kris does :)

"Road's in front of me, taking me astray. Are you leaving me or are you leading the way?"

Love that song so much. Also the lyrics from Bring It Back are beautiful.

I have so many, but this is my favorite from Red Guitar:

She plays it soft so only I can hear.  It's the same old song that she played last year. It may not have all its strings, but she strums it beautifully.

I love the story behind Red Guitar since it is a song about Katy and the way Kris feels about her. When he sings this part at shows, he almost whispers into the mike, like it is a private conversation with Katy.  My heart just melts every time I hear this part.

In one of the websites recently, we were asked to comment on Red Guitar. At that time I wrote I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 41 years.  Even though we "play the same old song" and some of our "strings" are missing, we still love each other and are enjoying our family which includes four young grandchildren.

My goodness, there are so many. Right now it would be...

So raise your fist And don't forget We were born to be fighters We are strong, we're survivors They could knock you down and make you fall But we'll get back up cause after all We're born to be fighters And we're fighting for life

Such a great song that applies to so many different situations. I know I relate to it and I think it would make an amazing theme song for a charity, the Olympics or a commercial. Hope it makes the album and/or that they shop it out for use by charities or tv.

"Stop ignoring that our hearts are mourning, and let the rain come in."

my favorite has got to be:

Feel like I'm trying to breathe under water
Trying to climb but I keep falling farther, yeah
Will you take my hand?

I have alot of favorites lyrics...but these were the first to come to mind...."at sundown on the freeway is no place for goodbyes"......I remember one early interview where he said he will not compromise his lyrics and he didn't like cheesy ones...and when I heard these words the first time....I thought of that interview and how I thought he would stick to this word of" no cheesy lyrics".  I haven't been disappointed since and I'm looking soooo forward to the new CD!
