MotW - Help Us Test Drive Fanzy!

We're ramping up plans to support the promotion of Kris's fall tour, but we want to reward all your hard work in putting the plan into action!

One tool that may help us target a social media campaign, track participation, and offer incentives is called Fanzy. It's a Facebook app that we've installed on our page, and it's used to track the tweeting and FB posting of key words, hashtags, and URLs. Members who join Fanzy can earn points which can lead to prizes.

We need your help to test drive it and see how it will work for us.

Here's what you need to do -

1. Log In to Facebook

2. Go to our page (http://www.facebook.com/littlepawns)

3. If you haven't already done so, like our page!

4. Click on the 'Get Rewarded' icon

5. Follow the instructions there to sign up, connect your twitter account, tweet/FB post some of our key words/links, and begin to earn points!

After you've played around a bit, come back here and share your thoughts. Was it easy to set up and use? Any other feedback?

We don't know if Fanzy will be the tool for us, but regardless, we're working on a plan to put you to work while offering some very cool incentives. Stay tuned!

Comment by Caro on September 17, 2012 at 11:52pm: I checked it out and it looks like this is really good app. The app does have access to a lot of your personal information and also info of your friends so be careful with that.

Never found that "See Where You Rank"-button to click but I think I got started anyway lol.

also couldn't subscribe to The Little Pawns channel on YT via the button on the app-page...maybe something's wrong with the url? --- but even if I subscribe via YT to the channel it will still be connected to the app, right?

Comment by dy77 on September 17, 2012 at 10:51am: One more comment - I was able to change to a different Twitter account, yay! And I found it easy to generate a tweet from there to promote the Stage It show. It ended up looking like this

I could have turned on the option to post that to my FB as well.

One comment for Twitter - The FB link back to Fanzy actually sticks out more than the StageIt link, not sure if there is a way to shorten the FB link but it would look better & perhaps offer more characters.

Comment by dy77 on September 17, 2012 at 10:41am: One thing I noticed - for those of us with more than one Twitter account - be careful which Twitter account you are signed into when you add it on Fanzy. (Or can we add more than one account?) I had forgotten I was signed into Blue Pawns when I tested it! Oops. Luckily, you can unlink the Twitter account if you went with a non-personal one by going into settings (top right wheel looking thing) and choosing "Unlink"
