Little Pawns Is Now The Official Kris Allen Street Team!

We are so excited to tell you that Little Pawns is now

the OFFICIAL Kris Allen Street Team!

And it’s all because of you! Making flyers, calling radio stations to request “Alright With Me”, promoting Kris’s shows…each and every Little Pawn deserves credit for our official status.

Kris and his team saw what we were doing, what we have accomplished so far, and they wanted to show that they support and appreciate all of our hard work!

Our “Official” title means that we’ll be able to do some really cool Street Team contests with member-exclusive giveaways. We can utilize our creativity by being able to sell exclusive Little Pawns merchandise. Plus, we’ll be among the FIRST to get the latest news on Kris! Naturally, we will continue in our efforts to spread the word about Kris and his music.

You probably won’t notice many changes in the day-to-day business of Little Pawns. However, please be aware that our website address is now: www.littlepawns.com. (I'm sure you all noticed the kick-awesome new banner on the home page, though, right?)

Please note that being “Official” does not mean that we have a direct link to Kris. We are in contact with his management team only. Also, keep in mind that our activities reflect directly on Kris, so let’s make sure we continue to make him look good!

With the slew of new activities that we are going to be able to do, we will be needing all pawns on deck as much as possible. Any effort, no matter how small, is much appreciated. We'd like to remind everyone that we continue to accept donations, which you can find on the Little Pawns homepage. You are not required to contribute, but it would most certainly be appreciated!

Kris sings “Come together…over me”, and that is exactly what we did and what we will continue to do. So be proud, Little Pawns! Be proud! Let's all put our best foot forward to make this street team a success!

Be sure to “like” us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @littlepawns!

Also, we would love to hear from you! Please feel free to leave any comments, suggestions or questions below!

Diana: I think what we have done so far has been with that in mind. The posters and flyers we've created have all been about selling him as a great performer. A mod can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think management has had any problems with what we've done so far, so I see no reason to believe they will in the future.

Diana: That's exactly the kind of thing we can use LP for, which is exactly why getting the ear of management, even in a small way, is a good thing.

Thank you so much to our Fearless Leaders and all the Little Pawns for the hard work!!!! Little Pawns are truly Mighty in our support of Kris! Next Win: To keep up our united and diplomatic assault on the media to get Alright With Me on the radio until we have complete success!!! I am so happy to be part of such a fantastic, dedicated group of fans. That all the hard work has been recognized by Kris and his management: Well, just wow! Now's our chance to run with the bit and "git er done"!!! Ok, I'll go jump around somewhere else now, lol. I am so looking forward to hearing Alright With Me at the top of Ryan's Countdown! That's our mountain and we just have to keep our eyes on it!

Erin: Many of us not only feel that Kris's management has a lack of promotion but that they concentrate on the wrong things when they do promote him. The people I've run into outside Idol fans, when they do know who Kris is, know him as 'the boring one'. Now, we all know how wrong that is - Kris is talented and funny and just all-around fun times, but that's the impression that his promo generally gives of him. And that's one of the things that I was hoping that Little Pawns would be useful for - giving Kris an image that didn't consist of 'the boring one'.

I think this is great news!! Thanks to all the mods here for all the work yall do. And for all the "pawns" for all you do also. I think what matters here is we all stick together and do what we can for Kris.

I thought (and still think) that LP was initially a reaction to a lack of promotion and some neglect by Kris's management. The idea was to get Kris out there, not be some anti-establishment way to stick a middle finger to them. We did what we did, and then got noticed by management. This is fantastic. It means they paid attention and want to work with us, which ultimately addresses the problem we all had in the first place. I think it's awesome.

Thank you to all of you who have shown the excitement and happiness at the news that the LP's are now official! As I understand it, with official status, we will be able to do even more for Kris...as far as promoting his music and all that comes with it. And, as for LP members...there will be even more fun contests with some amazing prizes! All with the sole purpose of supporting Kris and his music. We will work as PARTNERS with his management, not FOR them. I encourage everyone to give this a chance and see what happens. And, to the mods of LP...I just want y'all to know that I am so proud of us and all that we (along with hundreds of other Kris fans) have been able to accomplish in a short amount of time. I can't imagine working with anyone else but you guys on this project. I can't wait to see what amazing things the future holds for the Official Kris Allen Street Team!

I just wanted to point out from a legal perspective, that if management wanted to, they could issue us a cease and desist that prevented us from using Kris's likeness at all. Instead, they are really happy with the work we've all been doing, and want to give us even more support, incentives, and current information so we can do the job more effectively. Everything we have done so far has been about promoting Kris to radio and promoting his shows. It has all been about promoting him as a recording artist and performer, and management seems pleased with our efforts and results so far. I'm certainly willing to give this partnership a chance because my #1 priority as a street team member is to gain Kris more exposure and more fans.

Starr: And I do appreciate the concrete examples that you gave. That's exactly the sort of benefit that it's helpful to know up-front. Thank you. I'm sorry that I got caught up in the parts that we disagreed on and failed to give you credit for answering my question.
