American Idol. When he sang Man in the Mirror. And from the first time i heard him sing i cheered him. All of my friends used to be with Adam and they used to make fun of my choice. But the day after the final none of them said a word about american idol... because of course they knew that Kris was the best out there and he is still the best. He's  my favorite artist. Now my friends are caught up with the face of "Adam's more famous" but that simply doesn't make him better than Kris.I think its because we Kris Allen fans are just like him... Nice and sweet and NOT aggressive. People with aggressive fans are usually the ones who become more famous. I play his music 24/7 and i just love it! I cant wait for the next album!

I've been and American Idol watcher since Season 1, but never got "hooked" on any contestant until Kris. Didn't pay much attention to him during the first few rounds other than thinking he was a "cutie". Really liked Anoop and then when Kris sang Ain't No Sunshine I was "struck by lightening" and there was never anyone else for me after that and still isn't. I play his music daily and find that he always has a song that suits my mood. I love the kind of person he has become ( guess he was really already that wonderful man before Idol) but feel so proud when he piles success upon success as he grows into the Idol title and is becoming such a wonderful songwriter-I think that is where his niche will be in the future although he BETTER NOT stop performing!!! I know I will always buy his music and follow his career. He truly epitomizes what an American Idol should be.

I'm not an avid American Idol watcher as I usually have AI on my TV as background noise. During S8, I saw some of the early auditions, I saw a little of Hollywood week and missed most the Top 32. Remember liking Anoop at the time so I was kinda interested in the performances each week. I distinctly remember doing dishes while AI was on for Top 9 week. Kris started to sing Ain't No Sunshine and I literally stopped what I was doing, sat down and listened to his performance. When I heard his soulful, lower-register voice -- which has been severely lacking on AI -- I was stunned. From that point on, I kept watching AI and was impressed with his musicality week after week. Then I heard Brand New Shoes and that pretty much sealed the deal for me.

Well after season 7, I thought I'd never fall in love with a contestant as much as I had David Cook. (insert uproarious laughter here). I noticed Kris's audition because of Michael Slezak's EW recap, and White Chocolate of course, so I thought good for him when he made top 13. To Make You Feel My Love was what really made me reevaluate him, and on a whim I bought the studio version of Remember the Time as well.

And I was hooked. (I think it was the riffing at the end of the song. It made me realize there was a whole lot of something to this guy, and I never looked back.)

I first heard Kris sing Man In the Mirror top 36 on Idol and he was my pick from that moment! I grew to love his music more each week and was so impressed and loved that he played instruments and made his song choice so original each week. Oh and I forgot to mention how gorgeous he is!

I'm a casual American Idol viewer, and I'm not really a fan of the audition rounds or the manufactured Hollywood week drama - so in Season 8 I didn't watch a single episode til I tuned in for the last 1/2 of Top 13 MJ week. I remember seeing the 5 second recap of this guy in a green plaid shirt playing a guitar, but that was it. However, I love love love the song To Make You Feel My Love, so during Top 11 week, I had one of those "he better not ruin this song" moments... and of course, he didn't :) Kris was my favorite from that point, but I have a TERRIBLE track record with stuff like that, so I was taking it week by week.  I remember being on a business trip out of the country during Top 4 Rock week, and not being able to see anything but crappy YouTube videos over a bad hotel wifi connection... but I thought that was the it - the road was going to end there.  When Kris survived to Top 3, it was time for me to do something I'd never ever done before.... vote. I voted early, I voted often, and watched the finale with some degree of acceptance that my guy never wins (it's a complex I get from Cleveland sports, I think). Lo and behold, Kris broke my streak.

As much as I was a fan, I was sure I wasn't going to go to the Idol tour when it hit town... and then I caved. It was the first in a long (long, long) line of lost willpower that has given me the chance to Kris perform a lot (like, embarrassingly a lot). And I never would have thought I'd be as involved as I am, but I love it, and I love that it has brought so many cool people into my life...so, it all worked out I suppose :)

I really started noticing Kris on idol when he did Aint No Sunshine. As some of you may know I work at the same company as Mama Allen so I was kinda pulling before him from the beginning. But Aint No Sunshine got me! I was like wow this guy is really good (and hot)!! And as time goes on I have grown to love him even more.

I first discovered Kris during Top 13 week. I was typing on my computer to my friend while watching Idol and then Kris walked out to sing Remember The Time and I typed to her, WHO IS THAT!? Don't know how I missed him the week before with Man in the Mirror. After seeing him sing Remember The Time, I was hooked and voted for him like crazy for the next 13 weeks. My love for his talent and personality only continued to grow and has ever since.

I first saw him in season 8 and kinda sorta liked him. But it wasn't until top 11 when I became a big fan, and he became my co-fav with Allison on top 9. My fav performance from him was Falling Slowly top 7 part 1.

I was a regular viewer of American Idol.  In season 8, I expected the same type of
songs/talent and the selection of the making of a potential pop star.  However, little did I know that Season 8 would introduce me to an epic, multitalented, fantastic singer/songwriter and
musician by the name of Kris Allen.  Like many others, I did not initially notice Kris due to minimal air time given to him compared to other Idols in Season 8. However, during the top 36 round, Kris was “bringing it on” and stood out like no other on the show and I was hooked from then on.  Kris got better and better each round. His song selections and arrangements were fantastic.  I have been a dedicated Kris fan since I saw him do Man in The Mirror during the top 36 round.  I think I will always be a Kris fan not only because of his talent but because he is kind and considerate of other people in this world.  Kris is so inspirational and in many ways has help me improve myself personally and for other people in my life.  I also have contributed to Kris' charitable activities. This is new to me, but I feel Kris puts his name on worthwhile projects that he believes in.

I admire and respect Kris’ attitude, strong spiritual beliefs, staying grounded and loving his wife, family and fans.  Of course, Kris’ musical talent as a singer/songwriter and musician is epic.  Kris is so passionate when he sings and somehow the fans feel he is singing to each and everyone. I
love that Kris can be himself with the fans by being who he is and saying what he thinks. He is funny and his tweets are so off the wall sometimes, but that is Kris.   His fans love him for being
true to himself.  Way to go Kris. Stay true to who you are and continue to show your passion when doing the things you love to do.  :-)  I plan to do the same. haha.  Kris waiting for your new music and tours.  :-D
