Little Pawns

Are you ready for a challenge that will let your creative side shine? If you are great at image editing here's your chance to show it off:

The Challenge:

1. Create a piece of artwork that can be used for any of Kris’ 12 songs that are featured on his Facebook Bandpage. (Live Like We’re Dying & Alright With Me will be represented by their videos). The red box in the image below indicates where your image will be placed.

2. Create artwork suitable for any song, with these limitations:
-image must be in .jpg format.
-image must be under 1 MB in size.
-make sure the image is in a square shape to utilize the small space.
-images can be computer generated.
UPDATE: -you may submit up to three (3) entries per person. Since we extended our original deadline, some people have expressed an interest in submitting more than three (3) entries...go for it!

3.While designing, think icon or avi - avoid overly detailed submissions or submissions which include an abundance of text since this may not be readable or look too cluttered when in place, given the size of the space it will occupy.

4. Send an email to littlepawns@gmail.com with the subject “Facebook Artwork Contest”. Include your name and attach your artwork (remember required format and size). All emails must be received by May 4th.

5. Be as creative as you can be.

6. The deadline to submit your entries is Wednesday, May 4, 2011.

Details on how winners are to be selected will be announced at a later date.

Prize:

The top 12 pieces of art will be featured on Kris’ official Facebook music player.

If you have any questions or concerns, please comment below or send an email to littlepawns@gmail.com.

UPDATE: Deadline has been extended to May 4th.

Oh okay. Thank you!!

Danielle - That sounds great!  We were referring to the difference between making an entry for a specific song on the album as opposed to a more general piece of art (like Kris's face), which could be used for any of his songs.  Sorry for any confusion.  Feel free to check out my earlier comment which might give you further clarification, or leave another comment and I'll do my best to answer any other questions you might have. :)  Good luck with your entry!

Since we extended the deadline for entries to May 4th, some people have expressed an interest in submitting more than 3 entries... we figured why not - so if you're feeling extra creative, go right ahead!!

I'm kind of confused. What exactly do you mean by "that can be used for any of Kris' songs". I was just planning on drawing his face and making it look cool. Is that still acceptable?

We certainly aren't saying you can't make the art specific to a particular song, if you have a favorite, but artwork that fits multiple songs may have a greater chance of being selected because it will have more possible uses - just something to bear in mind!

Well at first I thought they meant make one for a specific song, so thats what I did. But now that I've read it over again, I think they mean that the work could be selected for any song..woops haha

OK - I promise I'm not being obtuse, but even though you have stressed "any" twice, I'm still unclear whether you mean the art we submit might be selected for any of the songs and so should not be geared to any specific title, or whether you mean we can select any of the titles and then submit something to specifically fit that song! *LoL*

Please 'splain it to me! :)
