Yellow Team: Gearing Up For New Music 2012

Hellooo Yellow Pawns!

With the upcoming release of Kris’s new single, it’s time for the humble pawn to show its strength. We’re talking promo, of course… and there are many ways you can help. 

Pre-Release

• Check the Radio Station List for your area (click on the Yellow tab for our region at the bottom of the document).  We want to make sure this is as up-to-date as it can be.  If you see a radio station not listed, a radio station’s website, twitter, or Facebook page that’s not included, please add that information as a comment below.

• Pick a radio station (or two, or three) and try to find out how they introduce new music.  Do they run challenges?  Polls?  Let us know what you discover in the comments section below. 

• If you haven’t already, try to build a relationship with your favorite radio station.  Request songs, comment on their Facebook or reply to a tweet or two.  Establish yourself as a listener.  For more suggestions on how you can do this, check out LP’s Reconnecting with Radio post. To make things easier for you guys on Twitter, we have made Radio Station Twitter Lists. There is a list for each state in our region, where you can follow and interact with your favorite stations and DJ's. Feel free to let us know if we are missing any!

We will continue updating this post as we get more info on the single, release dates, promo etc. For now, we're setting up our foundation for promo as we update the radio station list, interact with our local stations & analyze how they introduce new music!
