Weekly Mission: So Hot, Out The Box

This weeks mission is all about "Outside of the Box" thinking. I've gotten a lot of great ideas from various members on here about little ways to gain the song more exposure.

So, what are some other ways people hear music, other than the radio?

Bars & Restaurants:

Ask your favorite hang out to start playing AWM! Hand them a CD and buy the bartender a drink. Ask them to add it to their juke. Play it during trivia.

Schools:

Find out who does your morning announcements and bribe them to use AWM as a backing track. Insist it get played at a dance. Figure out which poor schmuck has to do the music for all the Sporting Events and ask him to use AWM instead of Whomp, There It Is.

Stores:

Now, lots of stores buy into a service for their music, but not all of them do. Check with your local mom & pop stores and see if anyone would be willing to add AWM

Blogs:

Everyone LOVES auto-plays! Make a post to every open LJ community that utilizes AUTO-PLAY technology to force people to listen to the song! (I'm mostly kidding. Mostly.) Seriously, tho, let's start linking vids when we comment about Kris in places.

Do you guys get where I'm going? If you have any other ideas, post them. Any successes? Same.

My daughter is a teacher in Tennessee (5th grade) and she played Kris' CD every morning when the kids were coming into her classroom. I absolutely loved this idea.....and the kids loved it. I don't know if this is possible everywhere...but what great exposure to his music!

Since I pass three high schools getting out on the way home from work, and have a tendency to blast music when I'm driving anyway, I may start to feel the need to blast Alright With Me. I'll just put the heat on. :)

I love the idea to link videos & that is so easy to do, will start doing it.

My dad plays music for our high school basketball games. I slipped AWM into his rotation for the first home game.

There is another home game tomorrow, I might sneak it in ;)

this is a hard mission. We don't have a sound system at work our i'd be blasting it at our dealership but i am going to out the song on a jump drive and show people how to voice activate their music in it. SNEAKY.

I gifted AWM to my aerobics instructor and asked her to use it for some new choreography. Bonus - she liked it so much she bought some other songs from the album, too. And there's (yay for me) a new kickboxing routine in the works.

When I was sitting in the computer lab at school I was listening to my iPod and my headphones came unplugged and of course I was listening to AWM and the girl next to me tapped me on the shoulder and I was just waiting for her to yell at me for it, but instead she asked me who it was singing that song and I told her. I let her listen to some more of the album - she loved it! She she was going to buy it off iTunes.
