Permalink Reply by Emjay Huston on November 24, 2010 at 9:07pm What about tweeting radio stations that do those new music challenges and ask them to include AWM in their nightly challenge? If we tweet them the video I think we will have better luck getting it included. Bonus: we get spins as well as buzz.
Permalink Reply by Emjay Huston on December 1, 2010 at 5:56pm This idea actually works. See, I tweeted a few local radio stations here in FL about this AWM video and next thing you know, one of them posted it on their station's website. That's great exposure, right? Keep re-tweeting, guys! Kris' Holiday shows are coming up so we should have more push then.

Permalink Reply by Annette Scafati on December 13, 2010 at 12:18pm So it sounds like we should be requesting AWM at COUNTRY stations...not just HAC. Right?
Permalink Reply by Little Pawns on December 16, 2010 at 8:57am We should try to request "Alright With Me" from any avenue possible. Right now, HAC markets are playing it, so that should be the main focus, but this doesn't mean we stop trying to request the song on Pop stations or Country stations. If the song crosses over to country, that would be huge, so yes, if you have a country station near you that you think would be receptive to the song, by all means, give it a shot and either email their Program Director or request it and see what happens :)
Permalink Reply by Annette Scafati on January 10, 2011 at 10:55am I just saw today that AWM lost 8 spins..the spin count being 199 down from 207 as reported last week by USA Today (Idol Chatter). This is really discouraging. There is no talk of an add date or video although I am very grateful for the video for the fans. Is this in large part due to the FL station not spinning AWM this last week. What are the chances for this song to ever make Top 40 or even 50 on HAC. What is disappointing is some of the other KA sites. KA Official has absolutely nothing about Kris's 3rd release AWM. I would think they would try to promote it by maybe putting his video on the home page. If they have anything on it..it is not very visible. Also, the idol forum is very quiet. Except for a few posters, the radio play tracking thread for AWM is very dead and it has been for the last month. I realize that the general public does not log onto these sites, it's mainly Kris's fans, but when your a fan and you see these sites it leaves the impression that no one cares about the success of AWM. I am sure fans do, but it appears that they don't. When fans see the lack of interest they lose their motivation to do anything about. Why should a fan make requests if KA Official doesn't seem to care about it or the radio play thread on the Idol Forum is dead? When fans see other fans requesting, they are more apt to request themselves. What can we do about this?
Permalink Reply by luly on January 10, 2011 at 4:12pm -8 doesn’t mean that the song is over, it’s a small negative bullets and a song can pretty easily recover form that. I don’t think we should get discourage now, especially since AWM is really close to the top 50. On the last published chart AWM was #51 and only 14 spins away form the top 50. The fans should keep requesting and hopefully AWM will continue to climb. I think that fans should continue requesting regardless of how active a thread is in a forum.
KAO did posted the AWM video and mentioned the stations that are playing AWM. I do wish that the would post about it again so fans that visit the site will easily see it.
Permalink Reply by Little Pawns on January 13, 2011 at 10:57pm luly is on the right track. AWM is so close to cracking the Top 50 and instead of being discouraged by a few lost spins, we should try to throw our support behind it and try to get it to the top 50. It will be a remarkable feat for the song to do this well, especially without any support from the label. However, please know that the moderators are communicating with management to get some answers about what the plans are for the song and whether they will be giving it an adds date in the near future.
In the meantime, we really appreciate everyone's work with requesting. Let's keep it up and we'll definitely let everyone know what the next step is in the next few days.
