Valparaiso University - Valparaiso, IN [November 6, 2010]

There's still plenty of time to promote this show! Does anyone live in the area who can see if the university can promote Kris somehow, may it be through their college radio station or maybe this time we can make flyers of our own?

I've seen the Student Union's Facebook (the Student Union is the one organizing the show) promoting it. I'll be going to this show, but I'm flying in the day of, and I'm not exactly the target age range for the show, so I'm not sure what I can do to help promote it. It would be great if any member of the street team was a student there, lol.

Ok guys... My girlfriend who lives in Valpo., just contacted me about getting this going... She told me I could bring her message here... I'm going to see if I can get her to join little pawns so she can discuss this directly here..

"ok, so on a whim I stopped into the local tavern after work (it's right by the bus station so convenient).
The joint is called Franklin House and has been in business since like 1857 or something...anyway, it's one of the places I put on Kris' list of things to do/see in Valpo.

I talked to the owner, Jason, who really would love for Kris and the guys to come in after the show. I stopped in just to see if there was a poster advertising the show like I saw in the chinese place....no there wasn't but he wants to put some up. He and his wife are both VU grads so I think he's going to call over to the UPC group and talk to them about getting some. He asked me if i was a professional promoter (lol) told him no just a fan and i think he appreciated the dedication. His buddy was also interested and started singing LLWD...light bulb goes off (kinda cute) anyway he asks me what he can do...what do I want and gives me his number to call him to discuss....


So she will be a great contact for us down in Valpo...
I just wanted to throw this by you all who may have done this before.... and get your thoughts. If we can get Jennie some promotional posters etc... I'm sure she would be more than happy to help us out in any way....

Yes please.  We need to get a flyer ready for this asap.  This is a top priority in my opinion.

I sent out a notice via LP's Twitter, but no one has responded yet. I don't know if anyone else besides me is following up on this. I work all night, but I can make a flyer when I get home if no one else submits one.

ok, so I dm's Elle a phone number...she said she'll contact him... This bar owner seems way..... willing to help do what he can to sell tickets... We should find out more tomorrow... Owner also said, he's got Kris on his jukebox too... lol.... so yay.. He's been in touch with the Student Services also, to see what they can do around campus.... We'll find out more tomorrow....

Wow, are you serious? He seems like such a swell guy! Is it safe to assume he has tickets to the show? Because if he doesn't, I'm sure we could hook him up with some tickets for all his effort :D

I will call Jenny (jill's friend) tomorrow to get the bar owner information and also to see what we can do to help him out.

Since so many of us will be at the valpo show, I'm going to propose we do a fan after party at his bar where people get $1.00 off drinks or w/e with their kris allen tickets and everyone goes tehre after the show and he plays KATA and everything;s lovely

Yea, he told my friend he's buying a block of tickets to do promotions from his bar... Sounds like it's a win win situation.. He will help promote, and he'll get business in his bar... I'm very excited about this, I hope it all shapes up to be awesome!!! :)

I'm done with the flyers Starr, you can take a look at it. I made double B&W half-sheet in one image. Hopefully the size is close to correct.
