I gave my song-by-song review in the QOTW, but to describe the overall experience the word that comes to mind is Joy. All of us fans were so happy to be at another show, to see our twitter friends again or meet some for the first time, and of course to see Kris and Cale and Torres lighting up the stage again. We came in with snippets and lyrics and song titles, but didn't know how they would all fit together or what they would actually sound like live. From the first note, we were sold and found ourselves quickly singing along and delighting in each new surprise. It was an exhilarating ride, and though very satisfying, all too short (as they always are, if we had our way, the guys would play for 5 hours). But for all of our happiness, the greatest thrill was to see how happy Kris was. He always has a good time on stage, and has developed a confident swagger along the way, but this night there were extra helpings of that twinkle in his eye and that beautiful grin. He knows when he's got something special up his sleeve, and loves that moment just before he gives it to us. For all we've heard about how much fun he's had in the studio and how much more he's been involved this time around, it was still good to see in person how happy he is with the new material and how much fun they had performing it. Can't wait to see it all again!

I find myself wishing these comments had a "like" button...but then I'd want to "like" them multiple times, LOL! Everything you said is so true, Julie! He *were* treated to extra helpings of happy Kris - I loved seeing how pleased he was to hear us singing along to a song we'd only just heard, that wasn't even half-over and how much joy he was getting simply being able to share this new material with his fans at last. I think in our impatience to hear the new music, we sometimes forget how hard it must be for him to keep it under wraps until it's truly ready to be heard.
