Hey everyone! Hopefully this post will answer some of your questions about what this project is and how it will work. Feel free to post any questions in this discussion and we will get them answered and update the main page to include more specific information about how this is going to work.
What is the purpose of this project?
What this website will eventually go onto accomplish is unforeseeable, but for now there is one goal that all Kris fans can agree upon. Getting Alright With Me to be a hit on radio. Even if you are part of the 1% of Kris fans that doesn't care too much for the song, you'd be blind not to see the excitement from Kris and everyone around him about the release of this song as a single. Lets match that excitement and do whatever we can to push this song towards being the hit it should be!
What is the purpose of the teams?
People working as a team are going to be able to accomplish so much more then people working as individuals. By splitting everyone up into teams, we are looking to encourage people from the same area to share information with each other. Get in contact with your local DJ and he said they are going to play AWM in an hour? Post in the forums so that everyone can tune in and supply feedback to the station.
So this is a competition?
YES! Every Sunday night, we will have a spinja update posted to this website describing AWM's progress on radio in regards to each zone. Points will be assigned based on total number of spins for that region for that week, as well as points for most growth within that week. Each week, a winning team is announced. Certain milestones will be set (such as reaching top 10 on HAC) and if your team is the winning team within that week, you will win a prize!!! Just don't count on us giving out cars, cause I don't think Oprah is a Kris fan.
I'M IN! Can I pick my team now?
NO! Your team is dependent on where you live. Enjoy meeting new people and remember the whole reason of this project is to promote Kris and to come together as fans. The below map will show you which team you are on (this was split up based on monitored HAC stations)...

Washington D.C. is part of the Purple Team. Also, all international fans are part of the Gray Team. You are the gray area, as there is no easy way for us to track your progress with pushing AWM to radio.
BRB. Spamming all radio stations in every surrounding state!
Not so fast. There are few guidelines.
- DO NOT SPAM RADIO STATIONS. Spamming your local station with requests nonstop is just going to piss them off. Use multiple lines of communication and spread it out. Always use the appropriate channels. Do not anger employees of stations or it will only work against you, your team, and this project as whole.
- DO NOT REQUEST FROM A STATION YOU DO NOT LISTEN TO. One quick way of building a bad reputation is by requesting a song from a station that is three states over. The purpose of the teams is to share information, but you should be staying in your own immediate area for your requests.
- BE POLITE AND COURTEOUS. Be aware that you are requesting from people, and if you give them any excuse to not play the song by being rude or overbearing, they won't play it.
- BE CREATIVE. I wish I could tell everyone exactly what to do, but every station is going to be different and some will be harder to crack than others. Some are going to take some creative thinking to get through to.
Okay. What now?
Spread the word! Get involved! Use the forums! Request from your local stations! Most importantly, HAVE FUN!
