Here's what I'm doing DC/MD/VA/WV stans! (I'm in Northern VA)
Mix 107.3 - WRQX - Washington DC (HAC)
-I am followed on twitter by nighttime DJ @tommymcfly so I have tweeted him a few times to ask that he play AWM on his New at Nine segment.

Hot 99.5 - WIHT - Washington DC (Pop)
-I've tweeted @hot995 and @tkradio (Toby Knapp, he loves Kris) to request AWM a few times. This station sponsored the Idol Watch Party Kris attended. Unfortunately, this station is not big on the kind of music AWM is. It plays HSS and Secrets by One Republic. Everything else is rhythmic.
FreshFM94.7 - WIAD - Washington DC (AC)
-This station is the one promoting the concert this Sunday. I have tweeted at them a few times to request AWM but it's AC so do not expect much there for awhile.
WBQB - 101.5 - Fredericksburg, VA (HAC)
-This station was the first in our area to play LLWD and AWM would fit in great. I've been texting requests to them by texting B1015 to 368266 and then requesting AWM in the message. It shows up on their home page at http://www.b1015.com/.
WINC - 92.5 - Winchester VA but very strong signal (HAC)
- This station had LLWD in its top 5 at 5 all request show for a long time. Unfortunately, you have to get AWM on the list of songs to choose from (with LLWD at the time it was write-in). Use this page to request AWM http://www.winc.fm/pages/6642235.php
WKSI - 98.3 Star FM - Stephens City, VA - strong enough signal to reach north and west of DC
- I have just discovered this station. They do use Kris in an ad they air but I haven't heard his songs. Web site is http://www.983kissfm.com/main.html I'll try to sleuth out how to best reach them.

I've been contacting Mix 107.3 & Hot 99.5. We can use some support for the poll that Toby has posted on his blog on the Hot 99.5 website. (A shout-out here to dy77 & @subeeDC and anyone else who has been requesting AWM at Hot 99.5!)

PURPLEEEEEE!!!!
Hi, I'm Lindsay! I'm just gonna repost what I posted in the radio post here because I didn't know this existed (hush cats).
I'm from central NJ, so I've been focusing on stations around here, New York, and Philly. New York is a really tough market to break into because they just kind of play what they want to play and fuck you if you want to hear something different. Z100 is kind of a joke to try and request on, but I've been trying anyway (a few times a week, again, not overwhelming or annoying) just to get the word out there about the song. It certainly can't hurt to express interest and show the stations that people want to hear the song.
Kris recently went over to Fresh 102.7 and released the song there, so I've been requesting to them a bit, as well as 95.5 PLJ and 94.5 PST. Does anyone else around here have suggestions for stations to request from around here (Obviously not anything out of the area, just stations I may never had heard of/not been aware that I was listening to)?

There are a few stations up in MA/RI/CT that I've heard Kris on before, so here we go:
Mix 104.1 - Boston
They played the HELL out of Heartless when Kris won Idol and also have played LLWD quite a bit. They've had Kris at a rooftop acoustic thing right after LLWD came out and they also had him at Mixfest this year. I follow the main Mix account on twitter and one of the morning DJs follow me. I haven't really actively started requesting AWM anywhere yet. This station also was giving away tickets for when he was here last week.
WXLO - Worcester
I follow them on twitter and on facebook too. This is the station that had Kris at the Acoustic Xmas last year.
Coast 93.3 - Taunton/Providence
This station loves Kris and all the idols - they're pretty fast to add (Its the one station I actually heard The Truth on). They follow me on twitter and I'm on their email list too.
96.5 - TIC (Hartford)
This station's given AWM a few spins already and they're also pretty fast to add. They're having Kris at their Christmas show in December.

I live more upstate in New York, so besides Z100 and 95.5 that have already been mentioned, I've got a few more. I'll get all the details together, but so far I've been focusing on:
Fly 92.3 Albany- They play LLWD a LOT and the feel of the station definately matches up with AWM's vibe. It's the most popular station in the area and deals a lot with the concerts and events in the area, so it would be good promotion.

I'm from the MA/RI area as well and these are the stations I've had my eye on :D
I'm only familiar with the first three stations, but they really seem to love/play Kris quite a lot. Coast is usually on where I work and I still hear LLWD at least twice in an 8 hour shift, lol. I've e-mailed them already about adding AWM, but I haven't heard it yet. They picked up The Truth fast and played the hell out of it, so I'm hoping they'll do the same for AWM eventually.

Team Purple ftw!
I'm in NYC and LI, so I'll be working on those markets, though both are pretty stubborn. I'll work with Lindsay on Z100, PLJ (good chance--they spun TT a fair amount), and also some LI stations like WBLI and the HAC station. Thanks Lindsay and Rebecca for the links and info. Let's do this!

I live in RI. Another station that we can target is 92 Pro-FM. Back in May 2010, they had Kris do a special event at a local casino. Pro-FM plays a fair amount of Idol alums, including Kris. You can request online at http://www.92profm.com/goout.asp?u=http://www.92profm.com/blog.asp?... or by calling the PRO-Lines @ 401-224-1234 or toll free @ 800-638-0092. Oh, and do have a Battle of the Songs too, so maybe one day we can get AWM up there!
