Purple Team 2011 Check In!
Just want to start new and fresh for all the exciting new music ahead. The purple team is for the following states: VA, MD, WV, DE, PA, NJ, NY, MA, CT, RI, VT, NH, ME.
We're split into some smaller teams for radio work because our team is so big. I'm captain for the MidAtlantic (VA MD WV, DE PA), Julie M is captain for New England (CT, RT, VT, MA, NH, ME) and we are looking for someone who knows NY/NJ radio to step up and help us coordinate the NJ/NY radio efforts.
At this point though, we just want to check in with everyone, find out what area you are from and what radio stations you are listening to these days! So please reply in the comments with that info so we can all get re-aquainted as a team. :D
I'll begin - I'm Dorothy (twitter is @dy7764 and please follow me if you'd like), from Northern VA/DC. I listen to Hot 99.5 (DC) when the younger kid is in the car, Freshfm94.7 (DC) when she is not and B101.5 out of Fredericksburg is the station we can agree on (which, nicely and strangely enough, has just started playing LLWD again). Once in awhile I listen to country music stations too as I love that genre as well.
Looking forward to hearing about everyone on our team! (Or meeting you if I haven't already)

I'm Emjay: LP Mod, @xoxEmjayxox on twitter and I live close to Annapolis, MD. I mainly listen to the radio in my car. Mix 106.5 (Baltimore) and 94.7 Fresh FM are the 2 stations I listen to most regularly. If I don't like the current song they're playing I'll also try Hot 99.5 or Mix 107.3.
I've been lucky enough to have been to way too many Kris shows... I hear there's a 12 step program for my addition, but I don't want to be cured! My you tube channel is transplant42 and you can see my Kris vids there. Cannot wait for Kris's 2nd album and here's hoping his next single is a radio smash!

Hello folks. I don't post much here, but I keep up w/ all the Little Pawns stuff on twitter and such. My twitter name is @namasteGrace. I live in Northern NJ and so I listen to all the NYC radio stations. HAC station is WPLJ and they played the crap out of LLWD and they also played TT for awhile. They have an "all request" lunch hour and they've responded to me by email and I was also on-air once for requesting TT! They seem to like all the Idols so with the right push I believe they'll play new Kris music. Z100 is the CHR station and they also played the crap out of LLWD. Got on-air with them as well once requesting LLWD. I'm sure you all remember Kris playing at their Jingle Ball at MSG. I went and it was awesome to get to see Kris perform in front of that sold out crowd. They've started playing stuff like Adele and Foster The People so I think there's hope for them to play new Kris stuff too. There's also the local AC stations: Fresh 102.7 which actually behaves more like an HAC station. They add new stuff way quicker than the other AC which is 106.7 Lite Fm. They both played LLWD as well.
I really hope Kris releases a new single soon! When he does, I will definitely do my part requesting and talking up the DJs too.

Hi Grace, nice to meet you! That is great info on NJ/NY, appreciated! I've noticed a little shift in what Hot 99.5 is playing too, a little bit less rhythmic so I do think there's room!

This has nothing to do with radio, but since I'm from NY I thought I'd ask you for help. I'm a big Kris fan and I would like to help promote him,but I'm a computer idiot.My only excuse is that I'm a babyboomer.My son taught me how to download so I could buy Kris's music. While I have gone to 4 Kris concerts, give to his charities, and voted for hours on vh1, I am a lurker who never made coments. I finally registered on KAO and tried to make a comment but I couldn't figure out how to send it. There is no send button , only a save and review button and I don;t know what they do.I tried for about 15 minutes to send it and could not.If you could tell me how, I'd appreciate it. As i said, I really am a computer idiot

Personal opinion, KAO could do a lot of things to improve its ease of use, like the thing you are asking about. The save button is the send button, so if you click save, that will make your comment on KAO post. Review is for if you want to preview what it will look like before you hit save.
