Happy Summer Pawns, it was a week of celebration and fun tidbits!

Birthday Love

Thanks again to all who contributed to the Better With You birthday video for Kris, it was a great success! 

Another great success was the DonorsChoose project organized by Kris Fans Unite, reaching and surpassing the goal of 27 classrooms helped!

On the big day, several fan groups got together to trend "Happy Birthday Kris Allen" on Twitter, and it reached Top Ten status in the US!  We loved seeing all of the ways folks chose to express their love and admiration for Kris, it's always great to have an excuse to celebrate one of our favorite people in this world!

Interviews/Appearances

Kris talks to New Straits Times about being genuine, making music true to himself, and how the little things can make a big difference in someone's life.  

More excerpts from the MYXPH interview were posted, covering recollections about Dad and school days. 

Now 100.5 posted highlights from the Sacramento show, including Girl Pop Medley and Kris showing off his dance moves. 

Ryan Seacrest posted Kris's in-studio Girl Pop Medley again, along with an equally lovely (after an interesting false start!) performance of The Vision of Love. 

Sweet Treats

A very sweet and summery treat today indeed, as Kris, Cale, and Torres covered The Beach Boys'God Only Knows, gorgeous!

Viewers of So You Think You Can Dance were treated to a bit of Out Alive, played during a montage segment.  Here's hoping he pops up there again, TYC has a number of songs that would make for great dance routines!

We were happy to see Chris Torres visiting Arkansas, especially after hearing what the boys were up to!

Gray Pawns leader and Little Pawn extraordinaire Amanda suggested that we explore Pinterest as a tool for promoting Kris. We think she's on to something, but we need your help to make it happen!  This is an idea that will develop over the coming weeks, much like the scrobbling project.  To start out, we're asking you to get to know Pinterest - create an account and start learning the ways of pinning and following and sharing.  If you know your way around, help new folks get the hang of it.  Be sure to visit the mission page, to ask and answer questions, give/receive invitation help, and bring your ideas!

Upcoming and Ongoing

There's one week left to nominate Kris for a Do Something award, as a write-in under Music Artist.  Kris is continually giving back and inspiring others to do the same, let them know why he should be on that ballot!
