Happy Halloween Little Pawns,
It's time for your weekly Pawncast! We hope everyone had a great time at Thursday's Kris Allen Live Chat--we were psyched about the excellent questions and the awesome turnout. It was a great learning experience for us as well, and we look forward to hosting more in the future. If you missed the chat (or just want to relive the glory), you can check out the transcript here and read our recap of the event at our blog.
QUESTION OF THE WEEK
We know that given so many members in attendance in the live chat, not everyone's questions could be answered--but don't fear, you've got another chance. We'll be doing a "reverse" QOTW this week--post your questions to a thread at our Facebook page, and Kris will pick one each week to answer. You can read more about the reverse QOTW at our blog.
THE HALO AWARDS
Kris walked the orange carpet at Nickelodeon's Halo Awards this week to support Donorschoose and Music Empowers! He also did a couple interviews, including one with HollywireTV where he talked recording his second album and revealed a new song title--Out Alive! A clip from the interview will embed below, but if you don't see it, you can also check it out on YouTube.
Kris also did an interview for Nick Cannon's website. Check that out as well!
The Halo Awards will air on Nickelodeon on Nov. 6th at 8pm ET.
J-14 Magazine released a Q&A from back when Kris was in NYC for the Kidz Star contest. In the video he talks about how he got involved with the Kidz Star search, his evolution as a musician and artist since American Idol, and his hopes for the next year. If you can't see the embed below, you can watch the video on Youtube.
Kris will perform at Chocolates for a Cure, a gala benefiting the Waner Children's Vascular Anomaly Association on Nov. 5th.
The Alchemy Songwriting Competition will be taking entries until Nov. 15th. Read how to enter here. The top ten overall songwriters will be invited to perform at at Showcase on Dec. 3rd before the guest judges (Kris, songwriter David Hodges, & Music Empowers' Andy Davis).
BLUE TEAM CO-CAPTAIN
We're still looking for a co-captain for our blue team (AZ, CO, HI, ID, MT, NM, NV, TX, UT, WY). If you live in one of these states and are interested in helping organize and communicate radio and show promotion in your region, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
There were many, many new members who joined the Little Pawns team since the last Pawncast--138 of you in fact! If you're new 'round here, we definitely recommend checking out our "Getting Started" post here.
That's all, folks,
Callie, Emjay, Kathy & Robin
