Introduce Yourself Here
Welcome everyone! This is the Official Kris Allen Street Team: Little Pawns. Your Little Pawns Team Leaders are: Kathy T, Emjay Huston, and Julie.
The goals of this Street Team are simple:
- To mobilize Kris Allen fans from all over the US and abroad in order to get the word out about Kris, his music and his amazing talent.
- To organize the fan base in such a way as to promote Kris.
- To broaden Kris's fanbase and get them to his shows.
We welcome anyone who would like to be part of this street team in any capacity. You don't have to make it a full time job, but we're hoping for some sort of commitment. Being part of this street team requires effort and tons of energy and enthusiasm. You have to be willing to call up radio stations and request, utilize social media in order to spread Kris's music, and keep focus as to the goals of the project.
While this may all sound like a lot of work, this is also potential for some fun. Kris fans are some of the funniest and most down-to-earth people we've encountered, and it's exciting to be involved in a project that benefits Kris but can also bring everyone together. So welcome everyone, we hope you all feel at home, and we hope we can all be fast friends!

Kris is not that big in Canada, but I know a few fans of his who live here in my city. I've been in Fandom (not just the Kris Allen fandom) for over a decade now. I've recently started making in-real-life weekly plans for brunches/dinners between fans of all kind of people/shows. Just this week, I met a glambert over lunch! It was awesome!

Welcome, Carol! I feel really bad that you haven't seen Kris live yet, because you know he's amazing, right? Believe me, I felt the same way for the longest time. People in the Philippines were the first ones to see him live even before I did! O_O So yeah, I know the feeling! haha It would be awesome, though, if "Alright With Me" made it to Canadian radio. Do you know anything about the market there? If you have any insights on how to reach Canadian radio, please go to the Radio Promo section of the forum and bounce off some ideas there. We'd love to create a subcategory for Canadian fans :)

The radio here is pretty much the same than the radio in the States (same top 40 songs, and all that). I've actually heard Adam and Cook here a lot. I think maybe the fact that they both toured in Canada helped. Is that a RCA thing? Making their artists tour Canada?
As for Kris, I've heard LLWD a couple of time when I turned in Virgin Radio Montreal for the AT40 countdowns, and I've heard The Truth once while shopping at the local equivalent of a Wal-Mart. I flailed, I did not expect that at all LOL

Im Yendi and I live Miami, Fl. I've been part of the fandom from the very beginning but I am usually a quiet lurker because i'm shy. I can't wait to get Kris some promo because he seriously deserves so much more. He is so underrated and I think we can definitely help.
A little of my Kris background...Ive been a fan of him and the rest of Kradison since Idol. I think he is such an amazing person and artist. I love what he does! I attend as many shows as I can, though not as many as I would like, since Florida is so damn far from all the others states! :( I wish I could travel more for shows but as it is my family is surely about to disown me due to my concert obsession! lol
Yesterday, i began requesting AWM to many FL stations and noted down the feedback I got from them. I plan to make a spreadsheet with the stations to start requesting and getting AWM on the radio! I look forward to working with all of u, can't wait to get Kris' name out there! ;D

Also, Mix 105.1, the radio station that's hosting the Holiday show Kris will be part of in December, spun "Alright With Me" a few times, I heard. It would be awesome if you and other Floridians would work on that station to get them to keep playing it more :)

Yes, I did see that station had spun AWM. I have sent them a few tweets requesting it but I havent called them yet. I will do so 2morrow tho. :)
