Gray team check in 2011 (and hello!)

Hi everyone on the Gray Team :-) 

 

I'n thrilled to be the captain of the "everywhere (else but the USA)" team.  I checked out the comments from our intro post and see that Kris has fans from all over the world that hang out here.  I'm looking forward to hanging out with you guys, talking all things Kris and doing what we can to promote Kris in our parts of the world.

 

I've met some of you guys online, but just to introduce myself...  I'm Amanda (@pomegranate02 on twitter - come say hi if you haven't already) and I live in Australia.  I've been a member of LP for a while now and co-ordinated the Last.fm campaign which has taken on a life of it's own thanks to all of you.  I was in the US in December last year and got to see Kris do two gigs in the Bay Area and met him after the gigs - if I wasn't already sold on his talent, I would have been right then and there.

 

Come say hi when you have a moment, I love meeting people from new places.  Don't think I'm ignoring you if I don't get back right away, this time zone thing can make instant chats a bit hard to do...

I'm Kim from Sydney and I've been a Kris fan since he first sang Man in the Mirror on Idol and then was totally hooked after he did How Sweet it Is.  Now I just love his own music which is getting better and better and can't wait for Thank You Camellia to be shipped from the States in May.  Downloaded Vision of Love as soon as it came out off international iTunes but do you know if it's being made available in Australia?  I want to hear this song on our radios - I requested playing it on 2Dayfm but don't know if the record company has even put it up for release?????  I too was in the States end 2010 and caught Kris at two gigs and luckily met him.  He is something special.  I'm a big Adam fan too and saw him live in Hawaii.  Hope both their albums do huge business and catapult them to stardom.  They deserve it - so talented and great guys.

lovely to have a fellow Aussie on board :)  We haven't had word of when/if the video will be available in Australia yet, though the single is there already.

It'll be up to Sony Australia to promote the single on radio here, but the more requests the individual stations get, the better - it'll show the stations that people want to hear it.  If you're on twitter, then tweeting @SonyMusicAU may help too (I've been sending them at least one a day!).  Have you seen the radio promo post?  That gives some great tips on getting heard by the stations: http://littlepawns.com/forum/topics/radio-requesting-guide  A lot of it is common sense, but it's definitely worthwhile reading up on.

I'm a great Adam fan too - amazing that one season of Idol produced two such talented guys :D

I was radio surfing on the tunein radio app yesterday and started listening to a radio station for a Calvin Harris song, anyway I drifted over to their website and noticed that Kris was listed on the page - I couldn't read the text but the next song they played was TVOL!  :)  I almost fell over.  

So if you're in Lithuania (I think it's Lithuania...) this station is playing Kris

Welcome!  You are definitely in the right place :)  It's lovely to have you here.  I'm in Australia, so out time zones are quite different, but feel free to chat here & someone will always be around at some point.  We also hang out on twitter @GrayPawns if you're a twitter person.
