General Brainstorming/Discussion Workshop
This is a place for all your ideas. You don't have to have the HOW part down yet, just toss things out there as they occur to you and your fellow LPs will try and come up with an action plan. When we've got some workable ideas, we'll move them into the applicable topics (Show, Radio, Video, Social Media) and get the ball rolling.
This is also a good place to talk about larger-scope things. If you've got ideas on how the group should function, how ideas should flow, another category for the site, put it down.
Remember you guys, this is the ground floor. You're part of the beginning and this is all just the framework. I want this to be the sum of all our ideas and efforts!

OK - I have seen many tweets nominating various people (OK, mostly Adam but some Kris) for People's Choice award. I actually usually don't watch those myself, but do recall we got him nominated last year. Do we think it is worth doing this year? Apparently you can get someone nominated by tweeting a vote or writing in their name and category on the normination form.

Also what categories to target if we do this? Male Artist? Pop Artist? Song (LLWD)?

I voted for Kris in every applicable catagory for peoples choice awards!!

I had an idea I think we should run with.since this nude sleepwalking story is getting attention... Well on my radio station the djs are always like "someone tweeted me this story" or w/e. Everyone should
1)Find out who the celebrity gossip reporter or afternoon DJ is on your radio station and locate their facebook or twitter. They all have one.
2) Send the Nude Sleep walking story to their twitter or station email with something fun like "lol American Idol Kris Allen sleepwalked in a hotel...stark naked!"
3)Ask them to play LLWD or, if they have his new single, AWM!

This is a great idea, Elle and Daniel. We can do this but I also have committed our resources to promoting the Blackbird Academy event, so maybe we can do a Mission of the Week, and have promo for an upcoming show on the side :) Can you guys check out the Conway promo thread to catch up? Thanks.

That's a great idea, guys! I just emailed my afternoon DJ with a link to Jim's article. He loves to tell funny stories about celebs. He told the one about Kris getting accosted by a female fan during the Idol tour and how Katy thought it was funny.

I totally did this yesterday!! Haha. I tracked down the twitter/email for the afternoon DJ at Alice Radio in SF, and sent her the story, and asked her to play AWM, because she was JUST talking about how Adam covered Metallica after she played IIHY, and I know she likes both Kris and Adam. No reply yet. :/ I am also going to send it to the morning show people, because they also tend to talk about random celebrity gossip. :DDDDD

I think we should have a fan push to buy copies of AWM. As you know, the BB200 is based on spins plus single sales (from places like iTunes and Amazon).
We just need to figure out when would be the best time to do this (to maximize the impact). I know lots of people who would be willing to gift 5-10 copies or whatever, and every little bit helps! :)
Then we could promote the campaign everywhere we can think of: Twitter (of course), ontd_ai, KAAddicts, KAO, MJs, and all other Kris- or Idol-centric forum-y places. :)
