Gearing Up For Single/CD Release Post
Hey Blue Pawns!
With the upcoming release of Kris’s new single, it’s time for the humble pawn to show its strength. We’re talking promo, of course… and there are many ways you can help.
Pre-Release
1. Check the Radio Station List (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvNhtptr5xRAdDREdTdWZUIwOGhJVnJ1eWNiV3ZCOXc#gid=4) for your area (click on the Blue Pawns Hot AC or Pop tab at the bottom of the document). We want to make sure this is as up-to-date as it can be. If you see a radio station not listed, a radio station’s website, twitter, or Facebook page that’s not included, please add that information as a comment below.
2. Pick a radio station (or two, or three) and try to find out how they introduce new music. Do they run challenges? Polls? Have programs/hours that focus on new music? We want to know what you discover, so please tell us in the comments section below.
3. If you haven’t already, try to build a relationship with your favorite radio station. Request songs, comment on their Facebook or reply to a tweet or two. Establish yourself as a loyal listener of the station, someone they would want to hear from!
