2011 GREEN TEAM CHECK IN

It is time to get reconnected as we prepare ourselves and our radio stations for A brand new Kris Allen album.  Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Wisconsin - This is your team planning thread for radio monitoring.

My name is Debbi and I am the team captain for the Green team with the help of Lyndsey and Brenda.

We would like for everyone on the Green Team to take this opportunity to introduce themselves, twitter name and the radio stations that you listen to. If you know it, please include if the station is Top 40 or HAC. It would be great to also share stories of concerts that you have seen. Please reply in the comments section below.  

Also take the time to reintroduce yourself to the radio station that you have been listening to Kris in the past by not only requesting Kris songs but requesting other artists and by participating in surveys and challenges.  Please see the do's and dont's on the home page.

A new list on monitored radio stations for Top40 and HAC stations is now being compiled as over the years many format changes have occurred.

We look forward to meeting everyone and working together to make Kris Allen's new album a great success.  I am encouraging all of you with suggestions for promotion to please let your voices be heard.

I'm here from AR! I'm mzbet on Twitter and KAO. I'm mzbet1 on youtube and have some Kris videos there.

 

It will be so nice to have new Kris music to start following and asking radio stations to play! We just have to be sure we're nice about it and not a nuisance LOL. I usually listen to B98.5 (KURB) in Little Rock, AR, which is a mix (I think they are part of the HAC monitoring). They have been very receptive to playing his music when I ask. They also have a survey for music, so it's good to start doing those for your stations.

Hi! I'm Lyndsey from Mississippi - lyndsey_n on KAO and Twitter (I may follow most of you already, if not just give me a kick lol)

 

So, MS has no monitored HAC station to speak of, booo...but I do have a pretty decent Kris-friendly Top 40 - Y101 (WYOY) and an AC that's fond of Kris - Mix 98.7 (WJKK) They are responsive to requests and interact via Facebook, Twitter, etc. 

 

Looking forward to getting back into gear when new music arrives \o/

And yes, please if you haven't already, create your marker on the Little Pawns map! It's glorious.

Hi, I'm Jen, you can find me as reoracer on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LiveJournal, and anywhere else I happen to have checked in. I'm in northern Indiana and was fortunate to have seen Kris several times last year with and without Lifehouse. (I have several complete Kris shows' worth of videos on my youtube, including his full solo set from front row at Valparaiso University, which was awesome!)  I just put a pretty hot pink marker on the map, but there's noone anywhere near me :(

 

I mostly listen to internet radio, usually @Wise_radio, who play alot of Kris :)

Kris Allen's sister-in-law here! I'm also living in Conway, Arkansas. I go to Hendrix College, so I'm trying to get some word out here.

My name is Elise Oggioni and I am eoggioni on Twitter. I listen to several Top 40 stations in Columbia, MO such as Y107 and 106.1. I have seen Kris Allen when he toured on the Idol Live tour, and even sat in a potted plant outside the arena to see him after the show. I also recently saw Kris when he came to the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ (I am originally from NJ) where he shook my hand and gave me one of his guitar picks. I am so excited to get Kris on the airwaves by me!

Hey, y'all! I'm here from Little Rock, AR! I'm lostiegirl78 on Twitter and arpruitt78 on youtube. I am a big listener of Alice 107.7 and Hot 96.5, so I'll keep tabs on what is going on for that station. Alice has always been a big supporter of Kris, so I'll make sure to do what I can to request. I normally do their listener surveys as well. I think I follow everyone that's replied so far, but if I don't, make sure to follow me! :) I'll follow back!! :)

Hello everyone.  I'm from Chicago.  Our HAC station is 101.9 The Mix.  I got a reply back from the program director yesterday that they will be adding TVOL to the U-Mix-It selection list today.  U-Mix-It is a program that plays from 8pm to Midnight where listeners vote on the songs they want to hear.  Here's the link:  http://www.wtmx.com/UMixIt.php.  The voting application will not be available until just before 8pm Central.  Hopefully, the song will be available tonight.  :)

Hi I am another Kris fan from the Chicago area.  I saw that TVOL was an option on U-Mix-It so I tried to vote last night.  I hadn't voted with U-Mix-It before so I wasn't sure I was doing it right.  I clicked the green arrow for TVOL and then clicked the red arrows for every song in front of it on the list.  However, TVOL kept moving around randomly so it was very frustrating... Does it sound like I am voting correctly?  I mean it seemed so weird, Kris was getting beaten by Duran Duran's Rio... are there crazy power-voting Duran Duran fans out there or am I just doing it wrong???

I am a new  member of Little Pawns but have been following anonomously for awhile now.  Learned about Little Pawns from the Official Kris Allen Site.  I do have a twitter account but only use it to vote for Kris on VH1.  I am from the St Louis Mo area and have seen Kris twice in concert.  The radio station I listen to most is Y98 and they used to play LLWD and still do from time to time.  I sent a text requesting TVOL and sent an e-mail.  Joined Little Pawns in hopes of trying to help get his music out there.  He is so deserving.  Have ordered TYC and can't wait to receive it.  I also check out Idol Forums-Kris Allen, MJsBlog, Official Kris Allen site, 14 Plums and Dirty Minds, but this is the only one I have joined.  I see everyone here does nice work to try and promote Kris and I like that.  If anyone has any new Kris sites, please share.  Hello to all.
